Two Wheels

1) Upward

Stuck in an office
For five days a week
A weekend escape
Is what you will seek
Mine's made in Japan
And paint bright green
It moves like a fish
My two wheeled machine
Five hundred horses
That throb and pulsate
With this kind of transport
You'll never be late
With the sun on your back
The road underneath
The wind through your hair
And flies in your teeth

2) Onward

Discarding my suit
Slip black leathers on
A twist of the throttle
I'm suddenly gone
Careering down lanes
The hedgerows flash by
Things begin blurring
I'm starting to fly
Get into the mountains
And stop for a break
See and feel nature
Beside man made lakes
With the sun on your back
The road underneath
The wind through your hair
And flies in your teeth

3) Down and out

The light starts to dim
So I end this day's roam
Head for the motorway
Aiming for home
Two cars crash ahead
And bounce down the road
Bank Holiday madness
Means no highway code
I can't stop in time
Get caught in the mess
The lorry that hits me
Is parcel express
You're laid on your back
The road underneath
With glass in your hair
And truck in your teeth
