We would now expect www.pets.com to point to a site about pets, but it could equally point to a site dedicated to trying to sell you insurance. If you secure the right name for the job, you are better placed to engage your target audience.
If the site is about pets, get a name that describes your business or represents your company name:
pets.com, allaboutpets.com, buypets.co.uk, pet-world.com etc.
